Background

Phenol Formaldehyde Resin (Novolac) is the resin which is produced by acid catalysis. The phenol resins are used for the production of synthetic materials. Allergy is primarly an occupation hazard. Novolac is an adjuvant with hardening and strengthening qualities, especially for butadiene/acrylonitrile copolymers.
