Background
Sorbitan sesquioleate (Arlacel 83) is a mixed ester of oleic acid and hexitol
anhydrides derived from sorbitol used as emulsifier.
Sorbitan sesquioleate are oil-soluble, water-dispersible, nonionic
surfactants which function as water-in-oil emulsifiers.
