MELANOSIS DIFFUSA CONGENITA (dyschromatosis diffusa congenita) home ICD10: L81.4

Melanosis diffusa congenita is een zeer zeldzaam erfelijk hyperpigmentatie syndroom. Synoniemen zijn melanosis universalis hereditaria en familial progressive hyperpigmentation with or without hypopigmentation (FPHH) (OMIM 145250). Het wordt veroorzaakt door een heterozygote mutatie in het KIT ligand gen (KITLG) op chromosoom 12q22. Klinisch ziet men diffuse grijsbruine hyperpigmentatie. Vooral gezicht, nek, romp, en extremiteiten. Bij de geboorte aanwezig of tijdens de kinderjaren ontstaand. Kan geassocieerd zijn met cafe-au-lait macula en grote gehypopigmenteerde ash-leaf macula.
